What are Psychedelics?
Psychedelics are a group of compounds, including psilocybin (found in certain mushrooms) and others made in a laboratory, that can temporarily change perception, mood, and thought. Most are not approved by Health Canada to treat any condition. Researchers are studying them in carefully controlled clinical trials to understand whether they are safe and effective for conditions such as depression and PTSD.
